Automating restaurant phone orders in 4 steps
How to prepare your menu, delivery rules and script so the phone never goes unanswered at peak hours.
1. Structure your menu
Every item needs a clear name, size, price and extras (sauces, drinks). The AI takes orders from exactly this list, so a tidy menu means fewer mistakes.
2. Write down delivery rules
Which areas you deliver to, the minimum order and delivery fee, and the typical delivery time — these are the questions callers ask most.
3. Test the script
Make a few test calls: an order, an address change, a cancellation. Wherever the AI asks for clarification, fill in the knowledge base.
4. Track the results
Every call's transcript and order appears in the panel. Review it weekly: which questions repeat, and where callers are passed to staff. This keeps improving the script.
